Know Before You Go
- The cavern tour consists of approximately one mile of walking at a leisurely pace. Since there are several stairs, anyone who may have difficulty walking, breathing, or navigating stairs should inquire before purchasing tickets.
- Cavern tours provide fun and educational activities for the entire family. Since there are no restrooms in the cavern, please use the above ground facilities before your 70-minute tour.
- Due to the natural environment of the cave, wheelchairs and strollers are not permitted in the cave.
- To protect the cave environment, food and beverages are not allowed in the cave.
- Our caverns are protected by Virginia law. Touching of rocks, walls, and formations is prohibited. This is because the natural oils on your skin can stop the growth of formations. We strive to preserve this natural wonder for all future generations.
