Adventure Spelunking Tours
At Grand Caverns, we offer an authentic caving experience where you can explore underground in historical pathways that have been around since the 1800s. On our adventure tours you can learn about caving techniques used by conservationists to explore and map uncharted subterranean worlds.
Rock Bottom
This is our beginner level spelunking adventure, suitable for ages 12+. It lasts 2 hours and is $65 per person.

This former commercial cave, closed to the public for nearly a century, offers a raw and unfiltered experience unlike any other. Grottoes Crawl
This tour is a more advanced tour and is suitable for ages 16+. It lasts for 3 hours and is $80 per person.

This 3-hour adventure tour is your chance to explore the original pathways and winding passages of Grand Caverns. Designed for moderate difficulty and open to ages 16 and up, it’s an experience that promises thrills and discoveries at every turn.
The Gauntlet
The Gauntlet is our most advanced spelunking adventure for ages 16+ only. It is a 3-4 hour experience and is $120 per person.

From squeezing through narrow passages to twisting, climbing, and rolling, The Gauntlet offers a truly authentic and exhilarating caving experience. Geology Tours
On a geology tour you will learn about unique speleothems, crystals, minerals, and the geologic timescales of Grand Caverns. On this tour you will hear about the exciting research conducted in Cave Hill.
History Tours
Grand Caverns is the longest continuously operating show cave in the United States, having opened in 1806. It is a point of international tourism, endured the Civil War, and has a unique luminary design. On this tour, your experience Grand Caverns by candlelight. The history tours are recommended for adults, last for two hours, and are offered every Friday.
