Subterranean Sound
Subterranean Sound at Grand Caverns is our exclusive concert series deep within the cave. With only 75 tickets available for each performance, this is a rare opportunity to enjoy local libations and a live show within a sonically surreal, subterranean setting. Concert dates and lineup announced in Fall 2024.
Haunted Cave Tours
It’s what the tour guides don’t tell you that you should be afraid of… Do you DARE venture into the ancient cavern to see what lurks in the dark? Once you enter, there’s no turning back. Prepare to be scared!
(NOT recommended for children!)
This single day event provides haunted cave self guided tours from 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Saturday, October 26th. Our staff will break for dinner at 4:00 pm with tours resuming at 6:00 pm. Group sizes limited to 15 per tour time, which occurs every 10 minutes.
Fall Festival
This free to attend, family friendly event is back again, bigger and better!
Free activities include Trunk-or-Treating (please come in costume!!), Hayrides, Bounce Houses, and fall themed mini games for the whole family! This event attracts nearly 1,000 local kids alone.
Special community partner, Grottoes Pool Preservation Foundation, will also be supporting with great fundraising activities and food. So come prepared to support a great local cause alongside this beloved local Fall Festival here in Grottoes, VA.
This event is provided by the Town of Grottoes’ Parks & Tourism Department. Saturday November 2nd from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Caroling in the caverns
TICKETS AND LINEUP ANNOUNCED ON 11/1/2024
Enjoy a special tradition at Grand Caverns! Caroling in the Caverns will be taking place on two separate evenings, 12/7 & 12/14. Choose between three tour times and enjoy a 50 minute tour and concert deep inside the Grand Caverns. We’ll have it all decorated for you!
Very limited seats for each tour/concert (75 capacity) so act fast and make your reservation here or call us at 540-249-5705. If you haven’t been here before please remember that children 12 years and under are eligible for a free ticket WITH the donation of school supplies. Please use the correct ticket options when making your reservation, and don’t forget to bring your school supply donation with you on the day of the tour.
All proceeds benefit the Grottoes Boys and Girls Club and the Grottoes Ruritan Scholarship Funds, which are awarded to graduating high school seniors. Children 12 years and younger are free with the donation of school supply(s) by each child. Without a school supply donation, proceeds from $15.00 ticket price will be donated.
