Living Cave South River Exhibit
In the spring of 2007, a cooperative effort with the Headwaters Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Verona office, local offices of the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, and the South River Science Team led to the beginning of a new program known as Living Cave Living River. This program is geared toward the sixth grade SOL’s with a variety of stations including a cavern tour, aquarium, invertebrate lab, exhibits, water chemistry, alternative energy sources, golf, and maps and models. This program has had great success. Many components of this program can be viewed by visiting the watershed website at www.grandcaverns.org.
